Duck Becomes an Artist

Yes, he really is this chubby.
We call him Mr. Chubbies
he's so fat.
Duck loves to draw. This was a picture of one of our cats she drew free hand last night just for fun. I thought I would post it here for anyone who doesn't believe we have cats. He tends to hang out with his sister Daisy when other people are around. My neighbor and in laws usually watch them when we are out of town and neither believes we have them. My neighbor told me one time that the only reason he believes we have cats is because he kept picking up their toys and putting them in their toy basket and would come back to find them all over the floor again. If it wasn't for that he said, "... We don't have cats, I don't care what you say."
Yes, he really is a Ham!
Duck has always loved to draw, but I have never been able to help her in this area as I can only draw stick figures. Trust me, they aren't very pretty either. I remember back when she was about 4 years old and we were learning preschool together. I used the book, Chicka Chicka Boom Boom by Bill Martin Jr.  to teach her about letters. Well, I tried to draw a coconut tree and thought it looked cool when she looked at me and said, "Mommy, what is that suppose to be?" With a crushed spirit for my beautiful coconut tree we continued on with the book. After that I knew there was no way I was going to teach her to draw. Go figure. God knew the talent he provided her and I was going to have to really think outside the box to expand on this for her. Can you say, learning to draw books is where we have gone. We have some really neat ones. At some time I will post some of them on my blog for your reference too.
Drawing is a past time hobby Duck does on a regular basis. I will continue to add them here for your enjoyment as well. It will be fun to watch the progress she makes as she teaches herself along this journey. It will be fun to give God the praise for this talent as she progresses.
