Encouragement Today: A Season of Friendship

Are You Walking A Season of Loneliness?

I have walked in seasons of my life where friendships were plentiful, but found I only took them for granted.

I have also walked a long season where God was teaching me the value of friendships.  He removed me from everyone whom I learned to love and treasure and in the end only found myself alone.

If you find yourself in a place of loneliness, turn to the one and only who will provide those needs for you, God.  Pour them out to Him.  He knows the desires of your heart and is waiting to hear from you so He can provide comfort through those tears.  Find peace in His arms and stand on the truth that He is creating for you that “special” friend.

Hold on tight, be patient and stand firm knowing they will be the one which will allow you both to blossom and grow together, a long lasting relationship which can only come from Him.

Isn't that a friendship worth waiting for?

One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.
~ Proverbs 18:24 (NIV)

God blessed me with this friendship as He lived up to His promise in Proverbs 18:24.  I now have a “…friend that is closer than a brother,” and will forever cherish her.  I am richly blessed by her friendship every day.  The long season of my heart being refined by our Potter was worth the days, months, and years of loneliness.

If you find yourself in this season of waiting and refinement and your heart is aching from the loneliness; remember, turn to God and tell Him.

Trust in His promises that He’s preparing the life of your friend for you.

Trust in Him and know they will be "perfect" for you. They will stick closer than a brother.

 Isn't that worth waiting for?

 God's blessings always are.

Your friend will be a blessing and one you will treasure and cherish.

It will be worth the wait.

Waiting on God’s timing always is.
