God’s Love and His Gift to Us

God loves us so much that he wrote the Bible to give us a guideline on how to live. The first five books of the bible are: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. These books are what is called the Pentateuch. Genesis is a book about the Sovereignty of God. This book is about learning to trust God because he is our everything, He will never lead us into danger. Exodus is about history; we can come to know God better by studying what he did for us. Leviticus is the fallen conduct of humanity; God made our world perfect and without sin, our life was good. When sin entered the Garden of Eden our world was quickly changed to a life of sin and evil (it’s all Eve’s fault!). We experienced separation from our Creator because of our sin. Numbers is about salvation; after we sin we need to be forgiven for our sins, without salvation we couldn’t be saved from our many sins. God loves us so much that he gave us a way out of our sins if we just confess to Him and be redeemed. Deuteronomy is about holiness; God is holiness and sovereignty, He wants us to reflect His image with a meek and quiet heart (just like His). God wants us to be able to come close to him, and learn about Him. He wants us to learn about what He has done for us. Just remember He loves you and you are never alone.
