Homemade Dog Food

 

 

We are tight with money and this was my frugal way of feeding our dog.  So hoping he will continue to like it as much as he liked it when I first made it.

 

The ingredients I used were: ground turkey, brown rice, kale, spinach, peas, carrots, and ground flaxseed. I cooked it all so the vegetables were soft. Then lastly I used my food processor to blend and chop it all up.  By using the food processor it blends  all the food into a consistency that looks like soft dog food. This consistency is more acceptable to my older dog.

 

 

I placed his food into a quart jar with the hopes of keeping it sealed between servings for ultimate freshness. If this works well, it will allow me to can his food when money and food is plentiful.
