Waving Goodbye to Facebook...

To all my faithful friends and followers.  If you were a friend of mine on facebook and haven't noticed yet, I am no longer there.  I decided to go off line for a while.  I will keep my blog running and will continue to follow my Pinterest and my Christian Homeschool Hub site, but am taking a break from facebook.  I found there were too many occasions where something on facebook would find its way into my home and my family and served as a distraction or a source of trouble that I am no longer going to allow in my home.  I know it is an abrupt decision, but one I felt was coming.  I had been too stuborn to give into God's wishes and give it up. This past week was a clear and visible sign this was something God wanted me to do. He didn't use his small quiet voice as He had been.  He used His loud voice to show me and so I finally obeyed and honored His wishes.

I have to admit I miss my facebook homeschool group dearly.  I feel like I am lost without you all. (Oona, if you see this please be sure to pass this information along for me.)  I am not sure what God is going to put in my path to provide that much needed encouragement as we continue our homeschooling journey forward, but I know He will provide something.  I am a firm believer that when God closes one door that He will open up another one.  I am going to be following a dear friend of mine as she travels down along a new journey. Maybe this is where my focus will be?  I am just unsure at this point.  Please keep our family in your prayers as we sort through some of this stuff that has gotten messy. This reminds me of the Francesca Battistelli song, "This is the Stuff", it about sums up some of my life at the moment.  I know God will use this stuff and make it for good.  It will just take some time to sort through.

    1. Thanks for faithfully following me here. I wasn't on facebook long, but it was long enough to know it just wasn't something I wanted to deal with any longer. I will miss my homeschool friends as this is what I used facebook for mostly, but I also know that God will provide a place for me to go that will provide the homeschool encouragement I have finally discovered I needed. I hope you have a great weekend!!! :)

  2. I will miss you on facebook, but I understand totally. I have feelings of dropping it every once in a while, but it is a way for my family and me to talk. Comes in handy for a few cousins.
Now I will have to talk to you more other ways :)
