Kale Chips |
Fresh Kale ~ cut up into smaller pieces without stalk
Olive Oil ~ I used pure olive oil
salt ~ to season (I used garlic salt for extra flavor)
popcorn seaon ~ to taste
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Wash the kale and be sure it is dry. Toss kale, olive oil, salt/seasoning in a bowl. Be sure to cover all kale with oil. Place on a lightly grease cookie sheet and put in oven for 12 minutes.
Totally Yummy and healthy snack.
My "Duck" loved it so much that she ate what was in my bowl before it ever made it to the oven. I had to prepare a 3rd batch in order to make another batch of chips.
I will have to try that. I just bought some a few weeks ago and used it along with lettuce for salad (but this sounds good)
ReplyDeleteI bought it for the same purpose for salads, but remembered this recipe so I thought I would try it as we are a potatoe chip loving family. My daughter loved it just plain uncooked with olive oil and season salt. She ate it right up and ate a good bit of it just in snacking. Gotta love a nutritious snack like that. I have a new green friend. I love to work with spinach and will add this to my list. :D
