Duck's Banana Pudding Snack

Oh what a wonderful snack Duck made for us tonight. She made a banana pudding tonight that was absolutely delicious! We got the recipe from our next door neighbor. What a blessing when our kids get big enough to start helping out in the kitchen.  This is an area I am intending on working with her on more as the school year progresses. Every child can survive on macaroni and cheese, but my goal for her is to make from scratch more detailed recipes. She is intimidated to make bread so that is one of my goals for her. We will see how it goes.  I will continue to post our progress.  I will label it home economics.

Duck's Homemade Holiday Pancakes

3 cups- flour
1 tsp- cinnamon
1 cup-oats
½ tsp- nutmeg
1 tbsp- wheat germ (optional)
1/8 tsp- ginger
2 tsp- baking powder
2 tbsp- sugar

Stir all dry ingredients well then add…

1 cup- pumpkin or apple sauce
    3 cups- water

Mix together well and add butter to the frying pan and cook until done.

This was Duck's writing assignment that was based off a home economics class this morning. She wrote down the ingredients as we put them in the bowl and had to type up the recipe. They came out wonderful. You can refridgerate the remainder and cook up on another morning as well.
