Just a bit behind...

With the hype of Valentine's Day behind us, I wanted to share some highlights of how our Valentine's went and to share how blessed I am to have my family the other 364 days of the year.

I honestly have never really understood the purpose of having a holiday such as Valentine's. Shouldn't we show the people we love how much we love them ever day of the year?  Showing me you love me every day and doing little things to show that love all the time is more meaningful to me than showing me on just one day of the year. Let alone the same day everyone else is as well. Just a random thought I had.

Thank You God for blessing me with the many blessings I have everyday.

Tropical Heat Wave... Dropping???

It appears that our heat wave is going to finally break today.  I sure hope it does. Some much needed rain is suppose to come in and if it does, both my flower and vegetable gardens will be thankful. How about all of you? Have you been trapped in this heat wave as well? If so, what did you do to make the best of this bad situation?

We spent the weekend grilling outside and playing in our back yard pool. It helped to bring our family back together again thus producing some much needed quality time. It seems like it has been forever since we had quality time together and so the heat wave helped to bring a sense of renewal of time together to our family. God works in mysterious ways and so I am thankful that as a family we were able to take this difficult situation and make something good come out from it.
